You may be wondering what information will be provided within each of our different types of reports:
- Verification of Employment (VOE)
- Verification of Employment with Income (VOI)
- Verification of Income (Only)
- Reverification (RVOE)
You can use Truework at 3 points in the verification process, including reverifications:
- Pre-approval (Request a simple VOE)
- Underwriting (Request either a VOE, VOI, or VOI-Only)
- Closing (Request a Reverification)

What is included in a Verification of Employment (VOE)?
For verification of employment (VOE), you will receive a report containing the following:
- Employee Full Name
- Employment Status
- Active, Inactive, On leave, Unknown
- Employment Type:
- Part-time, Full-time, Unknown, 1099 Contractor, No Answer
- Employee Title or Position
- Hire Date
- Termination Date
- On-Leave Dates (if provided)
- Reason for Leaving (if provided)
- Probability of Continued Employment (if provided)
- Additional Notes (if provided)
What is included in a Verification of Employment with Income (VOI)?
- Active Employees: We provide up to 3 years of gross earnings.
- Inactive Employees: We provide salary or wage as of the termination date.
For verification of employment with income (VOI), you will receive a report containing the following:
Verification of Present Employment
- Start Date
- Employee Title/Position
- Probability of Continued Employment (if provided)
- Current Gross Base Pay + Frequency of Pay
- Gross Earnings (breakdown of current year + summary total of prior two years)
- Overtime & bonus likely (if provided)
- Average hours per week (if provided)
- Date of next pay increase (if provided)
- Projected amount of next pay increase (if provided)
- Date of last pay increase (if provided)
- Amount of last pay increase (if provided)
- Remarks for off-work situations; timeframe and reason must be included (when applicable)
*Additional start/end dates are deemed required anytime they are provided. These should be captured in the additional notes section.
*If active for three or more years, only two years of income information is required (i.e., YTD and Year 1 pay). If active for two or fewer years, only one year of income information is required (i.e., YTD pay only). Note that required data points should always include the most recent pay year(s).
Verification of Previous Employment
- Hire date
- Termination date
- Salary or Wage at termination
- Reason for leaving (if provided)
- Employee Title/Position
What is Included in a Verification of Income (Only)?
The report for VOI-only reports will contain different information including
- Net income
- Estimated gross income
- Account balances
- Income source information
NO employment information.

Keep in mind that there are situations when the employer declines to provide additional information. If that happens, we will let you know so your team can explore alternative verification methods for the additional information.
