I'm a verifier. How do I start a verification?

How to submit a request (Step by Step)

  1. Go to and click Start a Verification (top right corner).

  2. Create a user account.


  3. Fill out the “Who are you verifying” section. This includes information like Applicant Name, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and Authorization Form. Educational content will expand inline when you click on individual fields:


  4. Once you have filled out information about your applicant, you can now start adding their current and/or past employer(s). Click on the “Employer Name” field under “Employers to Verify“ and search for an employer. Recommendations will appear in the dropdown. We’ve added logos and websites of employers to help you select the right one. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, select “Verify this Employer“ in the bottom row.


  5. Once you have selected an employer, select the verification type you want ("employment" or "employment with income"). That’s it! You’ve successfully added an employer to your cart and it should reflect the total price in the “Your Order” card. If you have additional information, feel free to provide it in the Additional Notes section.


  6. If this is your first time using Truework, you will need to provide a payment method. Simply click on “Add Card” next to Payment Method to open the Payment Method modal. Once you’ve added your card, you can submit your request.


Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I verify multiple employers for the same consumer in one request form?
    Yes, with this latest version, you can now verify multiple employers for the same consumer. No more filling out multiple forms and duplicating applicant info! Once you submit a request for someone with multiple employers, you can click on the “View all [number of] requests” button which will take you to the requests tab.


  2. How many employers can I verify in one request form?
    You can add up to 10 employers for a single applicant. If you want to verify more than ten employers for a single applicant, you will need to start a new request.


  3. How do I cancel or restart my request?
    You can cancel your request by clicking the “X” on the top right of the page. Clicking on the “restart” button next to it will clear everything you’ve entered and give you an empty form.


  4. How do I remove an employer that I already added?
    You can remove employers by clicking on the “X” on the top right of the employer info card. If you remove the only employer you’ve added, the employer name field will reappear.


  5. Which fields and info are required?

a. Required fields are labeled with a red asterisk and must be filled out in order for you to submit a request. At a minimum, you will always be required to provide:

      1. Applicant Date of Birth

      2. Employer Name

      3. Payment Method

      4. Applicant Name

      5. Applicant Social Security Number

        b. Recommended fields are labeled with a purple recommended badge, and although not required, would greatly ensure the successful completion of a request.

        c. Optional fields are labeled with a gray optional badge - if you have this information on hand, feel free to share it with Truework as it could help speed up your request!


      6. How do I change my permissible purpose?
        Permissible purpose editing is located in the “Your Order“ card. Simply click “Edit” next to Permissible Purpose and it will open up a modal. Changing your “job title“ might impact the permissible purpose you’ve previously selected. Once you have made your changes, you can “Save” to confirm your selection.
